Automating the Creation of 3d Animation from Annotated Fiction Text

چکیده
This paper describes a strategy for automatically converting fiction text into 3D animations. It assumes the existence of fiction text annotated with avatar, object, setting, transition and relation annotations, and presents a transformation process that converts annotated text into quantified constraint systems, the solutions to which are used in the population of 3D environments. Constraint solutions are valid over temporal intervals, ensuring that consistent dynamic behaviour is produced. A substantial level of automation is achieved, while providing opportunities for creative manual intervention in animation process. The process is demonstrated using annotated examples drawn from popular fiction text that are converted into animation sequences, confirming that the desired results can be achieved with only high-level human

Text2Video: Text-Driven Facial Animation using MPEG-4
We present a complete system for the automatic creation of talking head video sequences from text messages. Our system converts the text into MPEG-4 Facial Animation Parameters and synthetic voice. A user selected 3D character will perform lip movements synchronized to the speech data. The 3D models created from a single image vary from realistic people to cartoon characters. A voice selection ...
متن کاملText2Video: A SMS to MMS Conversion
With the fast growing high data rate networks, such as UMTS, new communication types are provided by mobile communication providers. Video communication as well as broadcast over DVB-H are only two examples of these new services. Video messages created from enhanced text messages also belongs to these new services. In this context, we have developed a complete system for the automatic creation ...
متن کاملA Comparison of Relationship between Text and Picture in the Selected Iranian and Contemporary American-European Illustrated-Fiction Books Based on the Theory of Maria Nikolajeva and Carole Scott
Illustrated-fiction books are special forms of art that are the combination of text and picture. The relationship between text and picture in this genre is diverse and variegated, and has different effects on the audience; however, little research has been done about it. The goal of this research is to compare text/picture relationship in the selected Iranian and contemporary American-European ...
متن کاملThe Impact of Contextual Clue Selection on Inference
Linguistic information can be conveyed in the form of speech and written text, but it is the content of the message that is ultimately essential for higher-level processes in language comprehension, such as making inferences and associations between text information and knowledge about the world. Linguistically, inference is the shovel that allows receivers to dig meaning out from the text with...
متن کاملDeveloping EFL Learners' Oral Proficiency through Animation-based Instruction of English Formulaic Sequences
The current pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study attempts, firstly, to probe the effects of teaching formulaic sequences (FSs) on the second or foreign language (L2) learners' oral proficiency improvement and secondly, to examine whether teaching FSs through different resources (i.e. animation vs. text-based readings) have any differentially influential effects in augmenting L2 l...
